Finally, we have water in the creeks! Still plenty of fly fishing in Central New York & Syracuse on the trout creeks throughout the remainder of fall and into the winter. Expect cold days and chilly conditions. While it's not the prime fly fishing that spring provides, I'll be on the water all winter. Don't forget, the holidays are around the corner. My handcrafted wood fly fishing nets are ready to ship!
cape cod fly fishing
Thinking about entering the world of saltwater fly fishing? Cape Cod is a great place to learn and dive into saltwater fly fishing, chasing striped bass and bluefish. The cape has long been a vacation destination for friends and families. Lighthouses, beaches, museums, biking, walking, shops, dining, and whale watches are a few of the draws to the cape. Fly fishing is another. From May through October, stripers and bluefish populate the waters near shore and provide wading fly anglers fun opportunities.
Most fish caught are in the "schoolie" size category of 15"-30", but the opportunity to battle fish over 30" is a possibility.

how it works
Cape Cod is a big place. If you already have an area you and your family/friends are visiting or staying, great! All you have to do is contact me about the fishy details. If you are looking for suggestions on where to stay based on where we might fish, please contact me. Fishing and tides vary around the cape. While we do frequently make a move or two during the day, certain areas may be more productive than others. That said, conditions change and you may need to be willing to make a drive of 30-60 minutes to meet me in a more productive area.
